ODOT Plans Aurora-Donald Interchange Improvements

The Oregon Department of Transportation is planning to improve the Aurora-Donald interchange on Interstate 5 (Exit 278) to increase safety and address operational issues for vehicles entering and exiting the freeway. Planning and design are starting soon and will continue through 2020. Funding was made possible with the Oregon State legislature’s HB 2017 Keep Oregon Moving funding package to invest in our transportation system. Construction is not fully funded, so the project would need to be built over several phases. The first phase of construction could begin as early as 2021, pending design.

A public open house on the project will be he held late spring/early summer 2019 to seek community input on alternative designs for the interchange. Please visit www.AuroraDonaldInterchange.org to sign up for email updates or for more information.
