Thank you for visiting the Aurora, Oregon website.

As a popular National Historic District, Aurora offers a unique story that you must experience yourself!  Settled in 1856, Aurora was the only successful 19^th century utopian community in the west.  Check out our unique history on our history tab.  

Today you can walk the streets and see our distinctive architecture, filled with antiques and vintage shops, specialty retail and eateries as well as a class-act museum.  There is something here for everyone.  With so many different special events throughout the year including our annual Aurora Colony Days event the second weekend of August.  See the Aurora Colony Visitors Association page for more information. 

With a population of 1158, Aurora is home to friendly folks and has a cozy atmosphere that makes it an ideal place to live and visit.
