Aurora Residents Help PGE Win Top Participation Honors in Department of Energy Program

With the help of 208 residents and businesses in Aurora, PGE’s voluntary renewable energy program was named No. 1 for customer participation by the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Lab – for the tenth year in a row.

PGE’s Green Future program is Green-e certified, which is one of the most stringent certification standards in the United States.

With nearly a quarter of PGE customers choosing to participate voluntarily in Green Future, PGE is supporting renewable power while also giving constituents a way to pay it forward. Funded entirely by Green Future customers, PGE’s Renewable Development Fund gives back to communities by funding renewable energy projects. To date, the fund has contributed $14 million in grants to build local renewable energy projects with schools, nonprofits and local governments.

PGE has thus far invested more than $2 billion in new renewable resources.
