Aurora City Park - Reservations available

The Aurora City Park is located at 21074 Main Street. The park was updated in 2010, and includes the following:

  •  Amphitheater Shelter
  •  Two covered shelters in a natural wooded area.
  •  .28 mile pathway through the park
  •  Tennis Court
  •  Basketball Court
  •  Baseball Field
  •  Two playground areas
  •  Horseshoe Pit
  •  Updated restroom facilities
  • 9 Hole Disc Golf Course

The park is equipped with electricity and lights at all three shelters, and water is available at the Main and Liberty Street shelters.

Park Rules in short: 

  •  Park hours are 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.
  •  No motor vehicles inside the park. Parking areas are located on Main Street and Liberty Street.
  •  Dogs must be on leash except during posted off leash hours.  Dogs must be under owner control at all times. Owners are required to clean up after their pets. Bags and disposal receptacles are provided throughout the park. Other animals are prohibited. (See off leash hours below)
  •  No overnight camping
  •  There are no barbecue pits, and only gas barbecues are allowed in the park but are not to be used inside the shelters.
  •  Personal consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be limited to wine and/or beer. Hard alcohol is not permitted. No persons shall serve or sell alcoholic beverages in the city park without a City of Aurora park reservation and completed Alcohol Permit Application or OLCC approval. A certificate of liability insurance is required for all events where alcohol is served or sold.
  •  Those wishing to cater an event will need to sign a Caterer Agreement Form and possess a Business License.

Dogs in City Parks (per 12.04.020 - Rules and regulations, B.1)

  • a. Aurora City Park. Dogs are permitted to be off-leash daily, during the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • b. Aurora Mills Park. Dogs are permitted to be off-leash daily, during the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Exceptions to a and b Dogs must remain leashed during organized community events held within the above parks. Examples of such events include, but are not limited to: Aurora Colony Days and sporting events. Dogs that cannot be controlled while off-leash, must be leashed at all times.

 

Rental and Usage Information:

  • Park Shelters are available for rental 7 days a week all year round.
  • The Ball Field is also available for rental. Equipment must be supplied by user.

  • The City requires a $200 cleaning/damage deposit to be paid at the time of the reservation. 
  • In order to receive a full refund of your deposit, all tables must be returned to their proper location, and all garbage secured in bags and taken to the dumpster located in the NW  corner of the park at Well Building #3.
