City Utilities / Bills
The City of Aurora’s Utility Billing staff provides billing administration for all City utilities; water; sewer; street lights and street repaving services. Billings are sent out bi-monthly, and customers typically receive their billings by the 1st with payment due by the 10th. The billing months are as follows:
January (Nov/Dec charges) July (May/June charges)
March (Jan/Feb charges) September (July/Aug charges)
May (March/April charges) November (Sept/Oct charges)
To Begin Water/Sewer Service:
Fill out and return the Water/Sewer Service Application along with a check or money order payable to “City of Aurora” or cash in the amount of $150.00. This amount includes a $15.00 application fee as well as a $135.00 refundable deposit, which is applied to the account after one year if account is in good standing. If the applicant is not the owner of the property, the owner must co-sign the application. If the property is managed by a management company, the company’s information must also be furnished.
Rates:
The City of Aurora charges water user fees per two month billing cycle according to the size of water meter installed as follows:
5/8” Meter $21.62 (standard residential)
1” Meter $36.20
2” Meter $115.30
Water users also pay a rate of $.06 per cubic foot of water for actual consumption. The flat sewer rate for two months is $102.00. There is also a street light fee of $7.60 and a street repaving fee of $5.00 for two months.
To Pay Your Bill:
• You may stop by City Hall (21420 Main Street), Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm to pay by cash or check.
• A payment drop box is located to the right of the main doors of City Hall if you wish to drop off your payment outside of normal City Hall operating hours.
• Payments can be mailed to: City of Aurora, 21420 Main St NE, Aurora, OR 97002
• Please make checks payable to: City of Aurora
Late Fees:
Payments are due by 5pm on the 10th of the month. If your payment is late, you will be assessed late fees as follows:
• Late Notice $15.00
• Door Hanger $45.00
• Disconnect Fee $10.00
• Reconnect Fee $10.00
To End Service:
Please notify the City of Aurora by phone or in person at least 24 hours before you vacate the residence. A final meter read will be done and water will be shut off for final billing purposes.
