The Aurora Police Department, Reserve Division, accepts applicants for Reserve Officers Periodically.

The role of a Aurora Reserve Officer is to provide voluntary services that will be for the good of the community and police department. The City of Aurora, the community and the police department rely heavily on the Reserve Division to provide a wide array of services. Some of these services include performing duties as a sworn officer, interacting with the community in a friendly and positive way to enhance the image of law enforcement as a whole.

Some activities the Reserve Division performs include, the annual Aurora Colony Days, Oktoberfest, and other community orientated functions.
